Do I need a referral from my GP?
Yes, a referral from your GP needs to have been received by our rooms prior to an appointment being made.
What are my out of pocket expenses?
Dr Frawley is a NO GAP provider for surgery for patients who have private health insurance. There are out of pocket expenses for consultations.
What do I need to do if it is a WorkCover or TAC claim?
Obtain an approval from your WorkCover insurance company or your employer in writing prior to making an appointment.
What should I bring with me?
A copy of your referral from your GP, any X-rays or MRI films as well as Ultrasound and CT scans results .
Your Medicare card and private health insurance details. Masks are currently mandatory in our practice.
What is the waiting time for an appointment?
Depending on the urgency of your problem, emergencies can usually be seen on the same day (Mon-Fri) and for less urgent problems within 1-2 weeks. Patient's without private insurance can expect to wait approximately 6 weeks for an appointment.
How long is the waiting list for Surgery?
As Dr Frawley only operates in private hospitals your case can normally be scheduled within 1-2 weeks.
